Why choose SQT Bio Microneedling over traditional MicroneedlingOne treatment is equivalent to 3 sessions of traditional microneedling. With SQT Microneedling 3-5 million microchannels are delivered via gentle massage into the skin which allow active ingredients to penetrate into the skin. In comparison, microneedling pens deliver about 90,000 microchannels, and derma rollers only about 30,000. Other benefits include no anaesthetic requirements as the treatment has little to no pain, there is no skin breakage and no bleeding.

What is the downtime after treatment?7 Days. The treatment increases cell turn over from 28 days to 7 days. During this time you may experience redness, dryness, itching and peeling of the skin. If you have acne prone or congested skin, you might experience purging during this time too, this is a normal part of the process.

How many treatments are required?We recommend a course of 4 treatments, spaced approximately 2 weeks apart for the best results. After that, one maintenance treatment every 8-12 weeks to maintain your results.

What ingredients are in the treatment?All ingredients are completely natural, there are no chemicals, acids or harmful ingredients use. Alongside the sponge spicules, fibronectin is the main active ingredient. This is a protein that is naturally form in the skin and deteriorates over times as part of skin ageing. Benefits of fibronectin include; collagen stimulation, removes free radicals, promotes metabolism, accelerates skin repair. The SQT anti ageing treatment has a number of additional natural ingredients in which all target the ageing process.

Are any treatments suitable for active acne?Yes! This treatment is unique in the fact it can treat both active acne and acne scarring at the same time. Most treatments for acne scarring require active acne to be treated first, which can take many months or longer.

Is the treatment safe?This treatment has had 7 years of research and development and had a number of clinical studies done. The treatment is non-invasive so no risk of infection or cross contamination. The spicules themselves have 99% purity, unlike other brands which in testing were found to have only 20-50% purity.

What skin tones are suitable for treatment?All fitzpatrick skin tones

What happens to the sponges the spicules are sourced from? Does any harm come to them and is the treatment sustainable?The sponges live in a freshwater drinking lake. There are periods of time where the sponges naturally shed the spicules and that is when they are collected from the lake. No harm comes to the sponges and the treatment is vegan friendly. There are ISO series certificates which support the fact that the sponge spicules used in this treatment are a sustainable developement.
